Eagles Honor Roll Welcomes Next Of Allen And Johnson

At halftime from the upcoming game with Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, October 30, the Philadelphia Eagles will induct cornerback Eric Allen and defensive coordinator Jim Johnson towards the Hockey Throwback Jerseys franchise's Honor Roll??

Johnson was one of many NFL's most innovative and successful defensive masterminds. He served because team's defensive coordinator from 1999 until his death during the past year and his aggressive style kept Philadelphia at or near the top of the NFL in virtually every major defensive category throughout his tenure. From 2000-08, Johnson's units ranked second on the NFL in sacks (390), 3rd down efficiency (34.0%) and red zone touchdown percentage (43.9%), and fourth in fewest points allowed (17.7 per game). Throughout his 10-year stay in Philadelphia, the Eagles earned seven playoff berths, five trips into the NFC Championship game anyone Super Bowl appearance (as soon as the 2004 season).

Allen had fun with the Eagles from 1988-94 as soon as the team made him a second-round draft shop for of Arizona State.
